Q: I ship a lot online, will Panda Postage work with my store?

There’s a good chance we will. We have a forever growing list of E-Commerce integrations (including ODBC for custom built websites). Check out our E-Commerce page to see if your site will work. Just click the link in the header on top of this page.

Q: Am I able to print international labels if they live overseas?

Yes! Panda Postage savings and convenience aren’t limited to just domestic shipping; we also provide fast and affordable international shipping.

Q: Some of my customers request UPS or FedEx shipping, can I ship with those carriers through Panda?

We understand that only some packages you ship can go through the Post Office. That’s why we offer competitive rates for both USPS and UPS shipments, and additionally, you have the flexibility to use your own FedEx rates.

Q: How many Packages am I allowed to ship? Is there a cost if it's too high?

We were as shocked as you when we found out that there’s software out there that makes you pay more, because you shipped more. But, not here. We have no limit on the amount of labels you can print. Print 1 label, or print 1,000s of labels. It’s all the same price. FREE!

Q: My business has a couple different branches. Would Panda be able to accommodate for this?

Just like our label quantity, our account quantity is also unlimited. If you own a couple different offices they can have their own account under your main account, and all for the same price of FREE!

Q: What Payment Methods Can I Use?

We accept most major Credit Cards including American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. If you would prefer not to use a credit card, we also accept eChecks.

Q: How do I set up an account?

It’s super easy! Go right to our Home page and click Get Started Today. There’s a simple form to fill out, but once you do, one of our Panda Postage representatives will start setting up your account. You might think to yourself that nothing is free. Well guess what, with Panda Postage you get a free discounts from USPS retail prices. Check out the questions below to learn more.

Q: What does Commercial Pricing mean? And why is Panda allowed to give it?

Commercial Pricing is a discounted USPS rate from retail pricing. We’re allowed to give our customers Commercial Pricing, because our sister company, Express Save Industries, is a certified reseller of the postal service.

Q: What is Cubic Pricing and am I eligible?

Cubic pricing is an additional discount on top of our commercial pricing. All Panda Postage customers receive our Cubic Pricing discount. For you package to be eligible it has to be .50 cubic feet (or less), weigh 20 pounds (or less), no side is 18″ or more, and shipped via Priority Mail.

USPS Package Types

Having trouble figuring out what USPS package you want to ship in? Well you came to the right place. Check out the questions below, and see if we can help you decide.

Q: My item fits in a Large Envelope (aka Flats) is it O.K. to ship?

Just because it fits in an Large Envelope doesn’t quite mean it’s ready to ship. The Envelope has to be at least 11-1/2 inches long, but no more than 15 inches long. Also, it needs to be at least 6-1/8th inches high, but no more than 12 inches high. Also, the thickness of the envelope with your item in it can’t be thicker thank 3/4 inches. Q: I saw someone at the post office drop off a box marked Regional Rate, what are those?

If you always shipped over a retail counter at the Post Office you probably never even heard of these. They’re boxes that come in specific sizes and two different weight restriction, and only available to Commercial shippers (guess what? with Panda you are one!!!). Regional A boxes have a 15 pound limit and Regional B boxes have a 20 pound limit. Read t he Long Answer to learn more and find out how to get them for Free!

Q: Is there a way I can just charge all my customers a single price? This way I'm never overpaying for shipping if I have to ship an item coast to coast.

USPS offers a variety of Flat Rate packaging. Each Flat Rate package size will have a fixed price no matter what zone it gets shipped to. The only requirements is that it fits in the box (or envelope) and is under 70 pounds. Super Easy, and the best part is that the Post Office gives them away for Free!

Q: I prefer to ship in my own box, are there any restriction on the box I can use?

Using your own box can sometimes actually be convenient, but there are some restrictions. Just like Flat Rate boxes you can’t ship it if it’s over 70 pounds (Priority, Priority Express, or Parcel Select / Ground). They also have a maximum ‘Length + Girth’ of 108 inches (130″ Parcel Select / Ground). To learn how to calculate the Girth of a package read our long answer.

USPS Shipping Methods

The USPS has a couple different ways to ship your package, with price differences, different shipping speeds, and some restrictions. So lets figure this out together exactly which one would be best for your business. Check out some of the questions below to see if you find yourself asking any of them.

Q: I don't really care how long it takes for my package to arrive, I just want the cheapest option, would First Class Mail work for me?

First Class Mail is almost always going to be the cheapest way to ship your package, because of this it’s one of the Shipping Methods with the heaviest restrictions. If it’s going in a Large Envelop the maximum weight it 13oz and if it’s going in a box (through Panda Postage) the maximum weight is 15.99oz. Q: If I'm not sure exactly what I want out of my shipping, what would be the best Shipping Method for me?

Priority Mail is our most shipped method on Panda Postage, and for good reason. It’s has less restrictions than first class, and is priced between First Class and Priority Mail Express. Even though it’s not guaranteed, on average, your package will arrive at it’s destination within 3 days.

Q: I need to send a package, and I need to send it FAST. Is Priority Mail Express the way to go?

If you want speed, then the Post Office will give you speed. Priority Mail Express will arrive within 1 to 2 days, and that’s backed by a money-back guarantee.

Q: My package is too big to go First Class, but I don't want to pay Priority Mail rates. Should I go with Ground?

Yes, and well No… Maybe. Usually for the most part Parcel Post (Ground) will be the next cheapest option after First Class Mail, but don’t forget with Panda Postage you get Cubic Pricing when you ship Priority Mail. So if you package qualifies, there’s a chance Priority Mail will be cheaper. Read the long answer to learn more.

Q: What items can't be shipped in the mail?

A quick list is Air Bags, Ammunition, Explosives, Gasoline, and Marijuana (medical or otherwise). However, the USPS has a bunch of restricted items that can only be sent if specific requirements are ment.

Q: Can I use a Priority Mail Express box to ship out regular Priority Mail if I cross out the word "Express"?

Short answer is No. Your label must match whatever box you’re using. If you’re using a box that has a higher price to ship, like Express, you’ll be charged for the Express rate.
